1999 Mariners

All Star(s): OF – Ken Griffey Jr.

Season Roundup: The Mariners finished 3rd in the American League West with a record of 79-83.

  • July 15 –  the Mariners played their inaugural game at Safeco Field, 8 months later the Kingdome would be demolished

What they Wore: 1999 is the last year of the ‘Diamond Collection’ era. The home and Road jerseys did not change. However there was some change to the Alternates that were worn. Mariners introduced the Astro Navy Alternate. The team also wore the Batting Practice Mesh jerseys on occasion and the Sleeveless home white were still in use.

Sleeveless Alternate

Full Description: The sleeveless home Jersey, manufactured by Russell Athletic, is a White double knit Poly with Navy Braid Piping lined down both sides of the front placket. The Russell Athletic word mark is on the backside yoke between the piping and the neckline.
